About The Cleave...
The Cleave is a 15th century thatched inn delightfully situated in the heart of a picturesque village. With its thatched cottages surrounding the village green and church, Lustleigh is rightly considered to be one of the prettiest in Devon, nestling in the Dartmoor foothills, a mile off the Bovey Tracey to Moretonhampstead road.

The Cleave has two bars - a cosy lounge bar with granite walls and vast inglenook fireplace, and a more spacious Victorian bar with an impressive array of musical instruments! There is also an attractive family room where children are welcome. Meals are served throughout the inn both lunchtime and evening from an extensive menu, with daily specials always on offer.

The Cleave is well-known for its lovely, traditional cottage garden and on sunny days, there's plenty of room for meals to be served outside. The Cleave is just as appealing to visitors in the winter when they will always find log fires blazing in both bars.

Lustleigh is a popular starting point for a number of beautiful circular walks through the wooded Cleave, part of the Bovey valley. The Cleave Inn makes the perfect 'watering hole' for people walking in the area and exploring generally.
