Around & About
The picturesque village of Lustleigh is situated within the Dartmoor National Park.

The inn's name, 'The Cleave', is taken from the steep, wooded escarpment that rises up behind Lustleigh, known as The Cleave. A popular place for walkers, it boasts magnificent views over the moor towards Hound Tor and Haytor.

Lustleigh is a popular starting point for a number of beautiful circular walks through the Cleave, part of the Bovey valley. The Cleave Inn makes the perfect 'watering hole' for people walking in the area and exploring generally.

The Cleave Inn is ideally situated for exploring this lovely area of Devon. To the north are the well-known moorland towns of Moretonhampstead and Chagford, and a little way beyond is Lutyen's magnificent Castle Drogo. To the south is the town of Bovey Tracey, where the Devon Guild of Craftsmen has its gallery and shop. On Dartmoor itself, there's plenty of natural beauty to see, and Becky Falls are only 5 minutes away.

Lustleigh has a wealth of good Bed & Breakfast accommodation and we will be happy to make recommendations, simply call us on 01647 277223.
